Garlic roll (roti gulung bawang putih)

Padanan sup cendawan berkrim homemade untuk sarapan pagi. Buat dalam cup, mudah untuk makan dan hidang.

Ingredients: (makes 8 rolls)

Plain Flour- 3 cups (3 cawan tepung gandum - saya guna tepung high protien)
Warm Water- 1 cup (1 cawan air suam - saya lebihkan 2 sb)
*Yeast- 1tbps (1 sb yis)
#Salt - 1tsp (1 sk garam)
Sugar- 2 tbps (2 sb gula)
Extra Virgin Olive Oil- 2-3 tbps (2-3 sb minyak zaiton)

Method:

Mix everything together except oil with warm water and knead  until you get a smooth dough. 
(Campur semua bahan kecuali minyak dan uli hingga jadi doh yg licin)

Add oil and knead until the dough springs back when you press with your finger. (Masukkan minyak dan uli hingga doh naik semula apabila di tekan dengan.jari)

Apply oil and allow to rise for 40-45 minutes. By this time it will be double its initial size.
(Sapukan minyak dan perap doh selama 40-45 minit @ naik 2 kali ganda)


Make the garic spread.

Used for making garlic buns, rolls and even can be spreaded on breads before toasting it.

Garlic butter (Mentega bawang putih)

Ingredients:

Salted Butter- 100 grams (100 gm mentega)
Garlic- 5 cloves grated (5 ulas bawang putih diparut halus)
Coriander leaves -4 tbps (chopped) (4 sb daun ketumbar cincang)

Method:

Bring butter to room temperature.Mix everything together. Can be stored in the chill tray for upto one week.
(Gaul rata semua bahan. Boleh disimpan di dalam peti sejuk selsma seminggu)

Knock down the air in the dough and divide the dough into two equal portions.Grease a baking pan or loaf tin with butter.Roll the dough using a rolling pin. (Tumbuk doh untuk keluarkan anginnya. Bahagi doh kepada 2 bahagian dan canai doh.

Apply flour to prevent sticking.The rolled out dough must be at least half inch thick.Try to make it more like a rectangle.
(Tabur tepung supaya tidak melekat. Canai hingga setebal 1/2 inci dan cuba hasilkan doh yg berbentuk 4 segi.)

Apply one tablespoon of the garlic spread on it.Roll it and cut it into two equal parts and further cut the two parts into two, so that you get 4 equal rolls. (Sapukan 1 sb garlic spread dan gulung doh. Potong kepada 2 bahagian yang sama besar dan potong lagi kepada 2 bahagian menjadikan keseluruhan 4 bahagian  )

Now place the rolls with the cut side up in the greased pan.Repeat the same procedure for the remaining dough. ( Susun gulungan doh di dalam loyang dengan meletakkan bahagian yg dipotong disebelah atas.)

Apply the balance garlic spread on top and apply milk or egg wash which ever you prefer.Sprinkle sesame seeds (optional) Allow to proof for another 20 minutes.In the mean time preheat the oven to 180 degree C. (Sapukan baki garlic spread atau telur ke atas roti. Biarkan naik selama 20 minit. Sementara itu panaskan oven pada suhu 180° celcius.)

Bake for 20-25 minutes until the house is filled with the aroma of roasted garlic and bread..Take a bite into this lovely soft and flavourful rolls. You will surely fall in love with it. (Bakar selama 20-25 minit.)

* The quantity of water depends on the brand of flour used. I sometimes use less than a cup, sometimes more than a cup for the same 3 cups of flour.
