Old fashioned butter cake

Teringin makan kek la ...tapi nak kek yg senang2 jer...jadi pilihan yg tepat adalah kek mentega nih....resepi old fasioned tapi saya ubah skit dgn menambah pewarna. Dan macam biasa saya kurangkan gulanya jadi 1  1/2 cawan jer. Pastu mentega saya guna 250 gm...malas nak sukat pakai cawan tu...

Resepi asal kat bawah tu....ni terjemahan dan olahan saya.

250 gm mentega
1 1/2 cawan gula
4 biji telur gred A
1 cawan buttermilk (1 cawan susu + 1 sb cuka/jus lemon/limau)
1 sb esen vanila
*1 sk garam
*3 cawan tepung
*1 sk baking powder

Panaskan oven pada suhu 170°C.

Satukan *.

Pukul mentega dengan gula hingga kembang. Masukkan telur sebiji2 sambil memukul hingga semuanya gebu dan sebati. Masukkan esen vanila.

Perlahan kelajuan mixer. Masukan * berselang seli dgn buttermilk dan dimulakan serta diakhiri dengan *.

Tuang ke dalam loyang dan kalau suka nak buat warna warni cam tu saya pun boleh...

Bakar selama 1 jam api atas bawah...atau bila dicucuk lidinya kuar bersih jer...

Old Fashioned Butter Cake

1 cup butter
2 cups sugar
1 tsp vanilla
4 eggs
3 cups flour
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt
1 cup buttermilk, see variation below
sifted powdered sugar

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Butter and flour baking dish.

Beat together butter and sugar until fluffy. Beat in vanilla. Add eggs one at a time, blending well after each addition. Combine flour with baking soda and salt. Add to batter alternately with buttermilk, beginning and ending with flour. 

Pour batter into prepared baking dish. Bake for about 1 ½ hours or until a pick inserted comes out clean. 

Allow cake to stand 5 minutes and remove from pan and finish cooling on a rack. 

Dust with powdered sugar before serving.

Bake in 9x13 baking dish or 2 loaf pans....

Variation to buttermilk: mix 1 Tbsp apple cider vinegar to 1 cup milk

dah betul2 sejuk, potong kecil2 letak dlm bekas supaya senang nak makan.
